The Weapons of Your Warfare are Mighty!

The Weapons of Your Warfare are Mighty!
YESTERDAY, AFTER SPENDING SOME TIME IN A NEWS FEED, I WAS FEELING QUITE ANXIOUS, DEPRESSED, FEARFUL AND ANGRY,  IT WAS A PALPABLE WEIGHT ON ME THAT WAS BEARING DOWN HARD…

And to be transparent, I let this weight take ahold of me for several hours, before the Spirit nudged me back into God’s promises in His Word, where I felt God’s peace flood over me again!

I know, if I’m stumbling into this desert place from time to time, (I could just stay out of those darn news feeds! 🙄) many of you are finding yourselves there as well!

The enemy likes to keep us in fear, anxiety and depression, that’s one of his MO’s. And truth be told, there is a lot going on in our world right now to cause those emotions, not to mention what each of us may have going on personally in our lives.

But we have a supernatural weapon and that is the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God and the Word IS God, (John 1:1) which in my mind, is such a profound concept!

If you BELIEVE in the Word, it has supernatural power and impact in your life. But this belief that I am talking about is not just a head knowledge. It requires a knowing, without any doubt, that the WORD is TRUTH that you can rely on.

This Belief / Faith is another one of your supernatural weapons, the Shield of Faith, it protects you from all of the fiery arrows of the enemy. Have you inspected your shield for any holes lately? It is OK to pray, Lord, I believe, help me in my unbelief!

The Lord has provided us with these weapons to defeat the enemy and we should fully take advantage of them!

Do you have a firm foundation in the Word, or do you have a dull sword?

Are you speaking and prophesying God’s Word over yourself or are you rehearsing Satan’s lies?

My Peace I leave with you, my Peace I give to you, not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid!

I’ve shared this before and my guess is, I’ll share it again, (because it has such a profound impact on me and I want you to share in that) but this is my favorite one, and I prophesy this one over myself ALL the time… (because that is what it is, prophesying)

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want,
He makes me to lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside the still waters
He restores my soul,
He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His names sake

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I shall fear no evil, for you are with me,
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies,
You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever!
Amen and amen!

Look up the following verses on peace as well: (in fact, this is a good way to study the bible – do a word study in the areas that you are struggling in, or are interested in)

John 16:33
Philippians 4:6-7
Psalms 34:4
Isaiah 41:10
Isaiah 52:12
Isaiah 12:2
Isaiah 26:3
Psalms 29:11
1 Peter 5:7
Psalms 119:165

Let the Lord be your counselor, your comfort, and your peace!

Know that He goes before you and that He is your rear guard and shut down the lies of the enemy. Ask yourself this question, who do you have more faith in..?

You can find your peace and comfort my warrior friends, it is in the Word, it is in abiding in Him. Be Mary abiding in Him, not Martha caught up in the cares of this world, come to Him! 🛡⚔️💜
